On this July 4th holiday
it’s time not only to celebrate
the founding of this Divine experiment
called the United States of America,
but also to celebrate
the Spiritual Truth that all our Freedoms
come from the Infinite Everlasting.
Free Will is Spirit’s greatest gift
to each and every individual soul.
This Independence of consciousness
is what makes us human.
At the same time, we also Interdependent beings.
We need each other,
and what we do with our speech and actions
affects other people, as their acts and words affect us.
As you exercise your rights as an American citizen,
keep mindfulness and compassion
at the forefront of your intentions.
Happy Fourth and God Bless America!
(And all the nations!)
