Material or Spiritual?
August 29, 2018
  Eric msg 1
       message who are we
We are both material and spiritual beings.
We have an angelic and an animal nature,
and both are precious gifts from Creation.

The question is,
how are you integrating
these two very different aspects of your consciousness?

Some people are so materialistic in nature
that they treat everyone and everything as an exchange,
a bargain in which they try to come out on top
in every situation.
To be around someone who is constantly
hustling to make the best deal is exhausting.
If the material side of life is all there is,
what is left of you when you leave the body?

On the other hand,
some people are so detached from mere materiality
that they are no earthly good to anyone else.
Militant vegans and religious fundamentalists
may not be gathering as many spiritual brownie points
as they think they are.
Self-righteousness is not the way to peace and prosperity.

Let your material and spiritual sides
be in a Divine dance with each other.
The most spiritually Realized people I’ve known
are also very grounded and practical.
A merchant is richest when he or she
operates from the highest intention to do Good.
