Anger Is Neither Good Nor Bad
September 6, 2017
 Eric msg 1
       message unanswered prayer
Anger has only one cause: unmet expectations.
When the world does not conform to our desires,
we become angry.
This is just what’s so.
In many instances, anger is the healthiest reaction
to what’s going on.
It’s what we do with our anger that matters.

If we repress it, we can become bitter and depressed.
Unbridled anger can become a destructive rage
that destroys everything in its path.
Anger is not a healthy lifestyle.
It isn’t worthy of being worshipped.
Anger without perspective too often becomes
hatred or self-righteousness,
and that’s when you are in danger of losing your way.

On the other hand,
if we use it as a fuel to take action in the world,
that can be healing and productive.
Speaking your truth is vitally important.

Fight the good fight,
but never lose your sense of compassion,
or your sense of humor.
