Gore to Geyserville

James Gore has been planning a series of community meetings. It looks like the meeting in Geyserville, which James originally hoped to schedule for fall, will now most likely take place in early 2018. As soon as we have more details, we will get them to you on our website and/or in the newsletter.

James will be working with the leadership of local community groups and merchants. If you have ideas for Geyserville improvements, please share them with officers of the Geyserville Chamber, the Geyserville School Board, the Geyserville Planning Committee, the Community Foundation, Geyserville Fire, the Geyserville Historical Society, Kiwanis, Odd Fellows, and of course, local merchants.

Café Lucia Fado Night Dinner & Concert

Cafe Lucia_FadoNight2
Café Lucia will be presenting its 5th Annual Portuguese Fado Night on Sunday, October 15th. Fado, which means “fate” in Portuguese, is the national song style of Portugal and is loosely described as Portuguese Blues or Portuguese Soul music. If you have traveled to Portugal, or visited Café Lucia, La Salette Restaurant, or Tasca Tasca, you have already experienced Fado.

This year, we are presenting Fado in a more traditional setting. Fado's roots are imbedded in the old taverns and restaurants of Lisbon, where traditional Fado houses are still very common. We are turning Café Lucia into one of these renowned "Casa de Fados" for this very special evening. Tickets are just $89 per person and the evening will include dinner and performances from Chico Avila, Manuel Escobar, John Cardadeiro, as well as Mara Pedro joining us all the way from Lisbon, Portugal.

5 Course Menu:
Tasca Tasting
Caldo Verde - Portugal's National Soup
Bolinhos de Bacalhau - Cod Cakes
Carne de Porco Alentejana - Pork and Clams Stew
Arroz Doce with Madiera Braised Fig - Rice Pudding

Don’t miss this night!

Note: Allergies will be kindly accommodated. Please notify the restaurant of any allergies prior to your arrival. Tax and Gratuity is included in the ticket price.
