SharePoint Security Audit Closed Permission Gaps
and Improves Site Management

 
The client, a multinational specialty biotech company, had developed a sprawling SharePoint environment, and security and permissions administration was becoming difficult to administer and police.  When a non-authorized user mistakenly obtained access to sensitive HR data, violating major corporate information access policies, the client’s CIO was ready to take action to remediate and resolve the problem. Aspect Consulting was engaged to implement a site permission policy overhaul.

SharePoint/Nintex Expertise in Action:  Workflow Issues Resolved

With frequent mergers, acquisitions, and interdependent business processes, an international pharmaceutical firm had developed an exciting new application designed to improve workflow between departments. The company was in the midst of an initial rollout, when the application began to experience random, yet devastating performance issues, threatening to critically impact business processes during prime business hours.  The company needed the knowledge of an experienced Sharepoint consultant with Nintex workflow expertise combined with infrastructure knowledge to quickly resolve issues and ensure the success of the rollout.  The company engaged Aspect Consulting.

Growing You Community of SharePoint Intranet Content Contributors
 
An intranet is definitely a unique beast.  As an intranet owner or manager, you realize that the work is in rallying the troops to contribute content.  Without this content, readers have no reason to come to your site.  Not only do you need one time, feature-type contributors, but you need ongoing contributors who ensure content is fresh and relevant.

As the IT manager for an intranet for over 5 years, I’ve learned quite a bit – mostly from my mistakes.  One of the key discussion points along my intranet journey was around the look of SharePoint and the look of an intranet.  Let’s face it, there is not really much that is “sexy” about the look of SharePoint (no offense Microsoft).  I myself wasn’t all that excited about it, but regardless, I had to continue to carry the torch and evangelize its use as often as I could.  After managing three releases of the intranet, it was pretty clear what the answer was.

Aspect Expands in the Pittsburgh and DC Areas
Here we Grow, again!

Aspect Opens Pittsburgh Office:

Leveraging our successes & strengths into capturing complimentary and emerging opportunities; we are pleased to announce the opening of the Aspect Consulting, Inc. Pittsburgh Office, which occurred early this year.  This will be our base for capturing opportunities in western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio, northern West Virginia and western New York … a geography offering an abundance of Oil & Gas, Health Care, IT, Higher Education and Manufacturing potential.

As our first anniversary for the opening of the Pittsburgh office approaches, we welcome Dwight Ricketts as Sr. Account Manager.  Dwight brings a unique blend of both IT and Technical Staffing experiences to Aspect.  Dwight is a seasoned leader in the staffing industry, and understands what it takes to put the right people in place to complete projects and ensure customer satisfaction.  Dwight will serve as an Account Manager, ensuring his client’s business needs are met, and will be assisting with developing new territories and sales strategies to continue to expand our reach in the Pittsburgh area.
 
Aspect Expanding in the DC Area:

Aspect also welcomes Kevin Freeman.  Kevin joins our team as Business Development Manager, focused on heading up Aspect’s expansion into MD, DC, and VA.  Kevin brings over 18 years of experience, with a background in the sales of IT services and solutions offered over a variety of network hosting options (e.g., Frame Relay, SaaS, PaaS, DaaS, private clouds, VDI).  At Aspect, Kevin will use his experience to bring  Aspect’s Database Administration, Application Development, Business Intelligence, and Technical Staffing services to the DC area.  His goal is to build a team of great salesman to grow Aspect, and help our customers implement value added services and staff along the way.
