AAWAA Awarded National Endowment for the Arts Funding!

NEA_LogoColor
The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) has awarded AAWAA funding to support A Place of Her Own, AAWAA's multi-phase, multi-venue arts project. AAWAA is one of 1,057 nonprofits organizations recommended for this competitive grant. In total, the NEA will distribute $26.68 million to support projects nationwide.

An independent agency of the federal government, NEA advances artistic excellence, creativity, and innovation for the benefit of individuals and communities. NEA Chairman Rocco Landesman said, “I continue to be impressed with the creative, innovative, and excellent projects brought forward by arts organizations across the country. Our grantees are not only furthering their art forms but also enhancing their neighborhoods by making them more vibrant, livable, and fun.”

AAWAA is honored and thankful to receive this prestigious award from the NEA. Our important work to ensure the visibility and documentation of Asian American women in the arts would not be possible without the continued support from our community and funders. Thank you!
