100 Years of Women Making Change

Today, marks the 100th Anniversary of International Women’s Day – a day to celebrate the amazing women who have shaped us. It's been a century of women making change, and the next 100 years is sure to bring even more progress, thanks to people like you.

Take a moment today to celebrate a woman who has made a difference in your life – whether it is your mother, your sister, your colleague, or your friend. With 100 years of progress behind us, we have much to look forward to and much to achieve.

- Happy International Women’s Day from
all of us at AAWAA!

Refreshing Success!

We're happy to report that AAWAA's first Refresh: An Afternoon of Relaxation and Creativity fundraiser and silent auction was a success!

news1
Artists, volunteers, and AAWAA-supporters alike piled into AAWAA's studio to indulge in relaxing services with great company, all while supporting a good cause! All proceeds from the fundraiser and silent auction will help AAWAA continue to provide a creative space for women to reconnect with themselves through A Place of Her Own.

Our thanks go out to the coordinators, interns, and volunteers who worked tirelessly backstage to make it all happen. We also want to send our appreciation to the organizations and individuals who generously contributed items for the silent auction!

Check out our Facebook page for pictures from the event!

Thanks and Welcome!

Speaking of "refreshing," we wanted to take a moment to introduce you to the newest additions to AAWAA's hard working behind-the-scenes team. Thanks to their help, along with the help of long-time supporters, we're bringing AAWAA to the next level and continue to ensure the visibility and documentation of Asian American women in the arts.

news2
Here are some names that you may start to hear more often:

• Allen Caylao
• Katherine Yau
• Khay Hembrador
• Rasika Apte
• Vivian Truong

We're a small team but with your continued support, we make big things happen!
