2010 is starting out to be an exciting year for energy efficiency and renewable energy supporters. Community Energy Solutions is happy to tell you that our Community Smart Power Program is taking shape. Already, over ten families have gone through the energy audit (home performance analysis), and are on the path to add more comfort to their home while saving energy. More than thirty people have attended the energy audit field trips, and heard unbiased advice from experienced home performance professionals in how to improve one's home energy efficiency.

CES Renewables for All program brings solar hot water system to Habitat home
Thanks to the generosity of the Renewables for All donors, Community
Energy Solutions is finishing its first joint project with Habitat for Humanity of Kitap County. Felicia Oliver-Johnson and her
family will soon become the first Habitat sponsored homeowner in Washington State to have hot showers powered by
the sun.
Save your date for the dedication of the project on March 27, 2010. More details to follow.

Community Solar Bill (SB6658) - Washington
State legislatures will have a chance to vote on a bill that helps to
clear the final hurdle to make community solar truly possible in the
State.
Energy Efficiency Financing Act (SB6656/HB2853) - Provides opportunity to create an Energy Efficiency Financing Act. Amanda
Eichel of the Seattle Office of Sustainability calls this bill "the
single most important bill for Seattle to stimulate demand for energy
