Production Auction
October 6 & 7, 2015

After much consideration, and in partnership with Alan Parker Auctioneers, we have decided to once again create an On-Line Auction offering a marketplace for Appaloosa enthusiasts to view and purchase our horses.  We have also decided to accept a few guest consignors who would like to participate in an Appaloosa horse auction to market and sell their Appaloosa horses.

At this time there are a few openings for guest consignors for the 2015 On-Line Production Auction.  Details include:

Consignment Fee $150.00, payable to Alan Parker Auctioneer
Seller Commission: 5%
Buyer Commission: 8%
In addition, the Sale Company has requested quality photos and videos of each horse, together with a detailed pedigree and footnotes.

Char-O-Lot Ranch On-Line Production Auction Frequently Asked Questions

1. When will the Char-O-Lot Ranch On-Line Production Auction be held?

The Char-O-Lot Ranch On-line Production Auction will be held during the month of October, 2015. On October 2, 2015 the on-line auction catalog will open for viewing, and will include both photos and videos of the horses for sale. The bidding will begin at 9:00am (EST) on Tuesday October 6, 2015 and will close at 10:00pm (EST) on Wednesday October 7, 2015.

2. How Do I Register to Bid?

You may register anytime after October 2, 2015 to become a registered bidder. Please note that only registered bidders will be able to bid during the Char-O-Lot Ranch On-line Production Auction. In order to become a registered bidder you will be asked to provide your contact information, including an email address and telephone number together with credit card information. Your credit card will not be charged without your prior approval, and is only used for verification purposes. Shortly after completing your registration you will receive your bidder approval via email from the sales company.

3. How Does the Bidding Process Work?

Registered bidders may place their bids during the Bidding Period, and the bidding will close at 10:00pm EST on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. In the event a bid is placed during the final two (2) minutes of the on-line auction for a particular horse, the time period for that horse will be extended an additional two (2) minutes after each bid until completed. This will allow anyone that would like to bid an opportunity to do so.

4. Do I need to be a registered bidder to view the Char-O-Lot Ranch On-line Production Auction?

No. You may log in at any time beginning October 2, 2015 to view the Char-O-Lot Ranch On-line Production Auction and will not be required to register as a bidder, however, only a registered bidder will be permitted to place a bid. Therefore we recommend you register to bid, but you are not required to.

5. What are the Fees to the Buyer?

The buyer will be responsible for the payment of a 8% buyer’s commission to the Sale Company upon the payment of the purchase price.

6. Will Offers Be Accepted Prior to the Bidding Period?

Yes. If you would like to make an offer prior to the bidding period (October 6 – October 7), you will be able to contact the Sale Company, Alan Parker Auctioneers, and they will manage the process directly with you.

7. Will Horses Be Sold With or Without a Reserve?

Both. Some horses will include a reserve (required minimum sales price) and others will not and will sell to the highest bidder.

8. May I Obtain a Veterinary Exam?

Yes. If you are interested in obtaining a veterinary exam on a particular horse, please contact the Sale Company, Alan Parker Auctioneers, prior to the Bidding Period and a veterinary exam may be arranged at your expense.

9. Will the Seller Provide a Vet Certificate For Mares In Foal?

Yes, the seller will provide a veterinary certificate for mares being sold as in foal for 2016. The seller will also provide a negative coggins test and health certificate for shipping.

10. What Happens After Being the Highest Bidder?

The Sale Company will contact the highest bidder following the closing of the Bidding Period to finalize the transaction and arrange for payment. Once payment is received the horse will be available for shipping to the buyer. The seller will maintain the horse for a period of five (5) days following the Char-O-Lot Ranch 2015 On-line Production Auction at the seller’s expense. Following this five (5) day period, the buyer shall be responsible for any costs associated with the horse.

11. Who Is Responsible for Transportation?

The buyer is responsible for arranging and paying the costs of transporting the horses. If requested the Sale Company will assist in selecting a transportation agent to assist buyers.
