Meatballs
are the preferred food of children and families in the Cogreg village in a
poverty area of Java. The price is affordable and tastes good, suitable for
lunch and dinner. Five women in Lamondowo village want to learn to make their
own meatballs, thus saving the family expenses and increasing nutrition for the
families.

Learning
to make herbal tea
Result:
One man and one woman are involved in this micro-project in India. Although
direct beneficiaries are only two persons, about 8-10 persons are indirectly
involved with this project. The direct
beneficiaries are involved in producing the herbal tea and marketing. The
indirect beneficiaries are involved in producing the raw materials. As the
result of this herbal tea production and local tea leaf producers are
benefitting from this project.

Hamira, a fish crisps producer
Hamira.
A housewife from Bajo Indah Village, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia, expresses
her gratitude to MicroAid for the opportunity to learn how to make fish crisps
when she was visited by a facilitator from Indonesian Nature Potential
Institute (LPAI), Asriady Arman, on December 18.
The skill in making salty crisps was obtained
after she joined a comparative study
(micro project for comparative study, ASSI 614) that was carried out in June
2003 with 27 other participants.
