The Love INC Office Needs you!
Looking for a way to make a difference in your community? We would love to have you join our team in the Love INC office in Oregon City. We have a current need for volunteers to answer phones and perform other administrative functions including some bookkeeping functions using Quick Books. If you would like to volunteer your time to build up the kingdom call us at 503-655-4223.
Shovel, Mop and Bucket?
Our clients often find themselves overwhelmed with backed up housework and need assistance in cleaning out and throwing stuff away. Love INC puts together a team of volunteers to work with the client, the client’s family and a county mental health worker in order to clear out long accumulated junk and garbage. This job is not for the squeamish, and requires hard work, grit and determination. But when you are done, you have given someone a whole new start.
Are you handy?
No matter your skill level Love INC can use your talents. Our clients need all kinds of help fixing and repairing their homes. If you would like to lend a hand call us at 503-655-4223 or email us at info@clackamasloveinc.org
Do the Love INC One-Two!
When you serve as a Love INC donation pick-up driver you help twice.
First, you pick up furniture, such as a bed, table or sofa, from a donor. The donor is glad to have the un-needed item gone and happy to help someone in need.
Second, you take it to our warehouse where it is picked up by the recipient who has been screened by the Love INC clearinghouse.
We are especially in need of Pick-up drivers who can be ready to roll quickly. When a donor calls, they are anxious to be have their items picked up right away. If Love INC can’t find a driver, the items will be donated to another organization. We try to match our pickup drivers with needs in their area. If you have a pick-up truck or a trailer and vehicle with a hitch, you could do the Love INC One-Two! Call Maggie at (503) 655-4223.
The Church Has Left the Building
Several member churches will be participating in a blitz of Love INC field projects in late August. Know as “The Church Has Left the Building,” members of these churches will work at many projects helping people in need all over Clackamas County. Projects undertaken by these congregations include picking up donated furniture and delivery to our Canby Warehouse; yard work for elderly; wheelchair ramp building; installation of grab bars to make homes safer for clients who are unsteady on their feet and plumbing repairs. Has your church “left the building” recently? By serving our neighbors in need, we can spread God’s love all over Clackamas County!

Love Story
Twenty-year-old Sarah is from the eastern United States and is a recovering heroin addict. After 5 months in rehab, she moved to Oregon for a new start. Sarah has been clean for nine months and has a job at a local deli chain. She is quite resourceful and had gathered many of the things she needed for her new life by shopping at Goodwill and on Craigslist. Still lacking a few necessities, she called Love INC, asking us for assistance in finding a spaghetti pot, a toaster and a dresser. With donations from generous supporters like you, we were able to provide these simple items to help make Sarah’s new home complete. When you have un-needed household items, please consider donating them to our warehouse. Something as simple as a spaghetti pot and toaster can make a "hopeful" difference in the life of someone like Sarah, who is making a whole new start in life.
