New Faces at South Campus |

Lawrence Axmith is pleased to join the LBDS South Campus. A recent graduate of York University's Faculty of Education, he has dedicated his career to educating children through the Performing Arts as the Artistic Director of New York Youth Theater in Manhattan and at the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts in Toronto. A graduate of USDS, he is happy to be back at day school! |

Tara Carey is the Assistant to the Principal at the South Campus. She has rejoined the workforce after being a stay-at-home Mom for 5 years. She has 3 beautiful daughters aged 4 1/2, 3 and 1 1/2. Before being a Mom, she worked in Social Services with at risk and homeless youth. She brings a dynamic drive and love for kids to the front office. She looks forward to meeting all of you over the year and helping out in anyway she can. |

Jesse Grosman is excited to be joining the Leo Baeck community as a Grade 4 Language Arts and Grade 6 English teacher. Previously, he taught Grade 4 at a bilingual IB World School in Milan, Italy. He looks forward to bringing his international teaching experience and familiarity with the IB program to Leo Baeck, continuing to foster a spirit of international-mindedness in our students. |

Melissa Levin is delighted to be returning to Leo Baeck this year! After spending the last 9 months at home with her three beautiful children, she is back for her seventh year of teaching at the school. She is excited to learn and grow this year with her Grade 1 students in language arts! |

Jordan Maher is returning to Leo Baeck after seven years, during which time she stayed at home with her four children. This year, she is teaching Grade 5 Math, Science and Social Studies, and Grade 6 Math. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Arts from Columbia University's Teacher's College. |

Carly Schelberg graduated from Queen's University with a dual degree in Arts and Physical and Health Education. After completing her Bachelor of Education, she worked in New Zealand as an outdoor education instructor. Carly is very excited to be at Leo Baeck South and can't wait to get involved with all aspects of school life!

Lauren Sterling, a graduate, is delighted to be back at The Leo Baeck Day School. After several years of teaching at other Jewish day schools she is thrilled to be back and working with Student Services. |

Mr. Teitel may be new to Leo Baeck as a teacher, but is familiar with the way of life here as he grew up within the halls and walls of the North Campus. After starting his career in education working abroad in both South Korea and Israel, it's quite an exciting change to be back in Canada. He is eager to meet the LB community and is looking forward to making this year a healthy, happy, and productive one!

Sara Zatzman is originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia. She received her BA from Acadia University and her Bachelor of Education from the University of Maine. I am very excited to be teaching Phys. Ed. and Grade 3 Math, Science and Social Studies. I look forward to working with our families and our students this year. |
