Volunteer Spotlight

Why do I volunteer?  Because I was a shy child and learning to read transported me into the magical world of books where imagination ruled.  The library was my home away from home and books became my best friends.  Through books, I became a world traveler and visited lands I never knew existed before.  As a volunteer, getting books ready for the shelves is my way of giving back by inviting others into the same magical world I discovered long ago.  Through reading, we can visit other lands, meet new people in different cultures with different beliefs and ideas and this knowledge can help us live in peace and harmony with others.
