Over thirty Schools across Bath & North East Somerset have already signed up to take part in the Time after Time project this year. There are some great ideas coming forward from memories and music to school meals and the study of fashion from the 50s. St Mark's will be doing portraits of Grandparents of the pupils, St Gregory's have a host of events planned, and Royal High will hold a singing day with local primary schools also taking part. Broadlands young students will be going out to sing, Widcombe Infants will be looking at history related subjects, St Julian's will be holding a tea dance - and that is just a handful of some of the Time after Time school projects already planned.

Time after Time takes place from October 2nd through to October 9th but many schools are already introducing projects which will bring the older members of their communities into school during the next few months.

Many local organisations have also signed up to be at the Pavilion on Saturday October 2nd, the main OPEN EVENT for Time after Time. They include the Police and Fire Brigade, Radio Bristol and the Bath Chronicle and Aquattera Leisure. From 10am to 6pm there will be stacks going on including music, dance, drama and a chance to have a good Goldies sing with the Charity founder Grenville Jones. There is no charge for admission and we hope families from across the area will come along.

The Time after Time project is the brain child of “Goldies”, as it has become known, the charity that is bringing music and social interaction to hundreds of elderly people across the West of England.

This is the second e-newsletter and we hope to hear from you if you would like to be involved at the Time after Time day at Bath Pavilion. Schools can still sign up of course. Joy Fraser is the project manager working for the Golden Oldies charity on Time after Time. Please get in touch NOW with Joy to find out how you can get involved.

There is still time and we would love to have you aboard.

Time after Time is the brainchild of the Golden-Oldies Charitable Trust, Charity Registration Number: 1121600. Goldies, as it is now known, was started in Bath by Grenville Jones in January 2008 with four fun singing sessions at Somer Housing Community Rooms. The sessions now run across the West Region and the charity aims to increase this even further afield in the years ahead. The ethos of Goldies is simple: to give elderly people, some of whom may be lonely and isolated, something to look forward to.

Time after Time brings the young and the not so young together.
