The final countdown to EcoMobility World Festival
Backed by a €9 million euro (13 billion KRW) public investment to regenerate inner-city Suwon, 4,300 Haenggung-dong residents are preparing to swap some 1,500 cars for ecomobile vehicles in September this year, as the city pledges to showcase a month-long prototype of accessible and eco-friendly neighborhood living.

EMBARQ India, SLoCaT, KSP and KOTI endorse the Festival
The Festival welcomes four new organizations on board: EMBARQ India, SLoCaT, KSP and the Korean Transport Institute. This brings to 18 the total number of endorsing partners lending their support to the EcoMobility events this September.

Festival presented by IYC at UN Youth Assembly in NYC
The Festival has welcomed the initiative of the International Youth Council to mobilize young people on the issue of EcoMobility. In the run up to International Youth Day on 12 August, Willice Onyango, Chair of IYC Kenya travelled to New York last week and addressed 800 delegates at the UN Youth Assembly.

Festival radio interview with broadcaster Deutsche Welle

Last Thursday, EcoMobility Program Manager Santhosh (Sunny) Kodukula met with Deutsche Welle radio presenter Saroja Coelho and introduced EcoMobility World Festival in a 6 minute interview broadcast to over 30 countries. Vehicles arriving to Festival Area as opening approaches
The first vehicles have begun to arrive in the Festival neighborhood in Haenggung-dong, Suwon in preparation for the Festival opening on 1 September.
Row-n-go, Zigo and Inskey were amongst the first vehicles to be unpacked and prepped for the month long vehicle experience in the car-free neighborhood. Check out our participating vehicles online to see what else to expect!
