The NJCDD seeks RFPs for our next
Partners in Policymaking Training Program

Now Accepting Grant Proposals

The NJCDD is excited to announce a new grant opportunity for 2016!  This year, the Council will be accepting Grant Proposals from individuals and organization with a strong background in advocacy for people with developmental disabilities and their families interested in designing and implementing the next training series of our Partners in Policymaking (PIP) Program.
Since 1996, the NJCDD’s PIP Program has been training individuals with developmental disabilities and their family members to be strong and effective advocates for themselves and others.  In the 20 years since the program began in New Jersey, more than 300 individuals have graduated from the program and gone on to make a real impact in their communities.
Now, the NJCDD has chosen to open the program to new training facilitators, in an effort to introduce new viewpoints in disability advocacy on the state and national level.  For this opportunity, the organization or individual awarded the grant will create a new PIP training course under the guidance of NJCDD staff, will conduct outreach to register new class participants, and will conduct all training classes over an eight month period.
