Course Descriptions
Cultural Diversity & Sensitivity (4 CEU Credits)
Covers issues that affect professionals’ interactions with diverse
populations and variables that influence cultural identity; including
race, ethnicity, gender, culture, ability, religion, age, HIV status,
body type, sexual orientation and gender identity.
HIV/AIDS (3 CEU Credits)
A complete overview of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and acquired
immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS); including the diseases’ impact on the
human body and immune system, routes of transmission, prevention,
testing, current and developing treatments, and epidemiological trends.
STIs, Hepatitis & Tuberculosis (3 CEU Credits)
Information about bacterial, viral, and protozoan sexually transmitted
infections (STI); including common symptoms, safer sex practices,
treatment options and general facts. Information about acute and chronic
chemical and viral hepatitis; including risk, prevention, symptoms,
treatment methods, and vaccination.
There is a $10 surcharge if not prepaid.
