Starting in 2012, WINGS will move to a new membership model and an updated grants policy. Your fall newsletter, arriving in your mailbox next month, will have more details about the changes. You can also refer to the Vote section of the WINGS website for details on the changes.

In the meantime, anyone who would like to help flesh out the details of the new membership model is invited to join the membership committee and board members at a meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2. Please contact Sue deMalignon at susiede@mac.com to learn more.

Your Grant Dollars at Work: SAVE
Northfield Talks: A Community Discussion on Preventing Suicide

Images Missing? Click to ViewSAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education) is one of the nation's first organizations dedicated to the prevention of suicide and is a co-founding member of the National Council for Suicide Prevention. SAVE grew from a small all-volunteer, grassroots group of suicide survivors into one of today's leading national not-for-profit organizations with staff dedicated to prevent suicide. Their work is based on the foundation and belief that suicide should no longer be considered a taboo topic and through awareness and educating the public, they can SAVE lives.

Together, WINGS and SAVE will sponsor “Northfield Talks: A Community Discussion On Preventing Suicide,” a free public awareness event about suicide prevention. The evening includes free food, a resource fair, keynote speaker, panel discussion with a Q & A session. Everyone is welcome.
