This Week In Religious Education

From Procession to Service Projects

We have been busy and will continue to be busy in Religious Education: Middle Schoolers walked together in the Procession of the Species last week, and now on May 1st the elementary class will begin their service project to help the animal shelter.

  • Spirit Play (pre-K): The Promises Lesson. The 7 Principles will be presented as the 7 promises we make to each other.
  • Labyrinth Learning: Service Sunday. A bit about the history of Unitarian involvement in taking care of animals, and then preparation for our supply drive for the animal shelter and making catnip toys. If you have any old child/baby sized socks, please bring them for making the cat toys.
  • Middle School group will be learning about Wicca/Paganism.

A new choir for children and youth will be starting rehearsals on Saturday mornings, 9-9:45. The first rehearsal will be Saturday, April 16th. Just come join us for some singing fun!

Chalice Camp is for 5-10 year olds: a free (donations accepted) day camp. Registration Is Open!


Summer RE Volunteers Needed

makerspace

Do you build, create, invent, or make? Do you sew, knit, do woodwork, electronics, fix radios, screenprint, or …? This summer, we want a guest each Sunday at 11:00 to demonstrate a different making technique, and to help supervise the Maker Studio as the kids work on their own making.

Don’t want to demonstrate a skill, but still want to help out? MakerSpace supervisors are also needed each Sunday!
