IMMANUEL CHURCH, HIGHLANDS
30th ANNUAL AIDS WALK
Saturday, September 24th
Dravo Plaza at the Riverfront, Wilmington
Join Team Immanuel on Saturday, September 24th in our 12th annual walk to help prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS in Delaware. Did you know that senior citizens and young single women are among the fastest growing populations of new HIV/AIDS infections? Help us be a visible presence in our community as we join with thousands of others to walk for health. Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. at the Riverfront and Step-off is 10:00 a.m. The walk is level along the Riverfront on a wide paved surface so there are no hills and its stroller and wheelchair friendly! You can do the 3-mile stroll or take the short-cut or even just show up for our group photo. GROUP PHOTO is 9:45 a.m.! The main point is to be together and help raise money for an important cause.
Please sign-up on the bulletin board in the foyer and you can also register on-line at www.aidswalkdelawre.org. 302.652.6776.
Need a Team Immanuel Tee-Shirt? Or a ride down? Contact Sue Welles at 302.429.6676 or firstname.lastname@example.org

SING A NEW SONG
As we enter a new program year, think about how you might sing a new song. Not only is it part of our faith and tradition, but there are now so many studies revealing the health and social benefits of singing, especially in a group. Of course the choir and choir director heartily invite you to join choir. We love to welcome new singers! But, also remember that we as a congregation will sing some new songs, and some old songs. We are invited to sing everything with freshness and joyfulness of spirit. Hope to hear from you soon!
