10:00 a.m.

Dravo Plaza @ The Riverfront, Wilmington

Join Team Immanuel on Saturday, September 23rd, in our 13th annual walk to help prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS in Delaware. Did you know that senior citizens and young single women are among the fastest growing populations of new HIV/AIDS infections? Help us be a visible presence in our community as we join with thousands of others to walk for health. Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. at the Riverfront and Step-off is 10:00 a.m. The walk is level along the Riverfront on a wide paved surface; so, there are no hills and its stroller and wheelchair friendly! You can do the 3-mile stroll, or take the short-cut, or even just show up for our group photo. GROUP PHOTO is at 9:45 a.m.! The main point is to be together and help raise money for an important cause. Please sign-up on the bulletin board in the foyer or click here to register on-line (302.652.6776). Need a Team Immanuel Tee-Shirt or a ride down? Contact Sue Welles at 302.299.9876 (cell) or Outreach Ministry

Emergency Hurricane Harvey 2The flooding from Hurricane Harvey is already at historic proportions after making landfall as a Category 4 hurricane–wreaking havoc with 130 mph winds and storm surges. Residents of communities throughout Southeast Texas and Houston–America's fourth largest city–are witnessing unprecedented and devastating destruction. While Southeast Texas has endured the first wave of this disaster, Louisiana and other areas along the Gulf Coast are also in danger. We are working with our local partners as they develop their relief efforts–and stand ready to assist wherever possible. Please join us in praying for all those struggling to survive this terrible storm–and if you can, click on the link below and make an emergency gift to help us aid in the relief efforts. Thank you, as always, for your compassionate support.

The Stockley Center in Georgetown, DE is the 2017 outreach target of the Diocesan ECW. The Stockley Center generally houses about 50 severely handicapped adult men and women. All parishes in the Diocese are asked to collect the items needed, which will be presented to a representative of the Stockley Center at Parish Life Day, November 18. Please note: Because of allergies and the fragile health of the residents, The Stockley Center cannot accept any toiletries - soap, lotion, shampoo, etc.

Items needed:

  • Slipper Socks - most residents are non-ambulatory, and don't wear shoes.
  • Art & Craft Supplies - colored paper, glue stick, washable markers and crayons, colorful foam cut-outs, ribbon, wiggle eyes, stickers, etc.
  • Card and Board Games - UNO, Skip Bo, etc. (NO plain playing cards); simple board games with not a lot of small pieces
  • Jigsaw Puzzles - the kind with large pieces, especially the wooden type
  • Money - Cash donations are always welcome, so you can help The Stockley Center purchase what they need.

Bring your parish or personal donation to the ECW table at Parish Life Day, November 18, and it will be presented to a representative of The Stockley Center.
