4:00 p.m.

f you’ve been to an evensong you know it’s a beautifully contemplative setting for reflection with prayers and canticles sung by the choir, and time afterwards for connection with other parishioners and guests. It is a wonderful way to complete the weekend or begin a new week. Please join us for Evensong on Sunday, October 16 at 4:00 p.m. A reception will follow.

Music will include canticles of English composer Orlando Gibbons and the anthem “O Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem” by Herbert Howells, and we’ll have a few guest musicians. Bring a friend. Hope to see you there!

Cleaning Out Your Closet? We are collecting clothes this month for The Clothing Bank of Delaware. All clothing is donated to needy citizens of Delaware. All types of clothing and shoes are accepted. Especially needed are: coats, children's clothing, men's pants, and extra-large sizes. Donations may be left under the foyer table.

A core ministry of Friendship House, the Clothing Bank of Delaware has three primary missions. First, it serves as a clearing house for the collection and distribution of donated clothing and a delivery service to those community agencies in direct contact with individuals and families in need. Second, it provides entry level employment and training to women re-entering the work force. Third, it creates volunteer opportunities for churches, businesses and community organizations.

12:00 - 2:00 p.m.

The Search Committee for the Eleventh Bishop of Delaware is hosting a town meeting in the Parish Hall of Immanuel Highlands on October 16, 2016 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. All are welcome.

Search Committee

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ in the Diocese of Delaware,

The Search Committee is putting together a profile of our Diocese. To that end we will be holding 26 "Town Halls" around the diocese in the month of October to get people's input about what they hope for our diocese and for our next bishop.

So that those meetings can be focused on what is of most interest and concern to you, we are sending out this brief survey to help us structure those meetings effectively. We would be very grateful if you would fill it out, either online right here or via a paper copy, which is being made available through the parishes.

Thank you for your prayerful input. Look for more to come on the times, dates and locations for the Town Halls.

Steve Boyden and Martha Kirkpatrick, Co-Chairs,

Bishop Search Committee
