  It's Contagious
   By: Tom Tognoli
   Chief Operating Officer

You ever notice that people who are negative, down and have low energy tend see the negative in everything no matter what…they see the glass half empty?   While those who are positive, upbeat and fired up about life see the positive in almost everything…they see the glass half full?  If you had to take a guess, which group do you think is right…the positive ones or the negative ones?  The answer is both.   Mandated Down Payments Unfairly Impact Buyers in High-Cost Areas
   By: Gino Blefari
   President and CEO

The issue of mandated down payments is back in the spotlight as a recently released study found that requiring by law a minimum down payment of 20% would have a dramatic, negative short-term impact on the housing market. The study, released by the Center for Responsible Lending at the University of North Carolina, found that implementing such a mandate would push out 60% of would-be home buyers from the market.   TSUNAMI Warning! ... It's OK!
   By: Alain Pinel
   Senior Vice President/ Managing Officer

Have you been watching the Nasdaq lately? Of course you have. So have I, like a hawk, particularly over the last couple of months. What do we see? We see the late 90’s all over again!

2011 was not too bad for the Nasdaq. It played the little train that could, grinding most of the year, an inch at- a -time. The tempo accelerated a bit mid-December and that train now looks like nothing is going to stop it. There is no better bellwether of things to come in the Valley than the Nasdaq. Sure we are still far from the March 2000 peak of 5134 but the uphill direction in which the tech heavy index is headed and the pace at which it is moving make a statement: happy days are ahead. Leading Above the Death Line
    By: Gino Blefari

President and CEO

“As soon as there is life there is danger.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Chapter 5 of Great by Choice by Jim Collins explores three key dimensions of productive paranoia:

  • Build cash reserves and buffers to prepare for unexpected events.
  • Bound risk – Death Line, asymmetric and uncontrollable risk – manage time-based risk.
  • Zoom out, then zoom in, remaining hypervigilant to changing conditions and respond.           Read More

Help Clients Organize Priorities and Property Detail Notes

   By: John Thompson
   Executive Vice President

Here in Silicon Valley, many agents have come to expect their real estate clients to be a bit high tech. Suggest they bring a pen and paper to take notes on all the houses you show them this Sunday and you may get puzzled looks. Pen and paper? That’s so old-school.

Wow them a bit more by suggesting an app for that: House HunterRead More

Introducing a Frank Llyod Wright inspired home in Carmel, California

Located in Highlands Oak in Carmel, California, this estate was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterpiece, “Fallingwater” and dreamed up under the shade of the property’s stately oak tree, nicknamed Highlands Oak.  Highlands Oak is surrounded by verdant Pacific coast canyons with unparalleled panoramic ocean views and, like Fallingwater, is a stunning proof of the serenity to be achieved in integrating a living space with nature.  Sweeping canyons and the famous Point Lobos State Reserve border the home, offering guests the opportunity to view the Pacific Ocean at its most western border.   Without question, Highlands Oak is once-in-a-generation estate.

Productivity is the life's blood of a business. No Productivity. No Business. Period.

We are now offering a 60-day FREE trial for select applicants in our Infinity Coaching Program.  Get personalized, one-on-one coaching by Intero's senior executive team and top managers.  Contact us today for more information.
