Welcome to the latest news in the world of the Arizona Consortium for the Arts.

Thank you for joining us in our incredible journey. Together we can speed the pace in establishing a multicultural arts center with an open door policy! 

Arizona Consortium for the Arts is dedicated to creating a connection with our diverse community through artistic, cultural and educational events!
Our goal is to provide a space for artists in all disciplines to interact through the arts with the local and statewide community utilizing performance, exhibition, and education, and to create an exchange of cultural ideas and practices.

Arizona Consortium for the Arts, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, charitable organization. Contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by US Federal income tax law. Our Tax ID Number is 26-1395391

Arizona Consortium for the Arts monthly newsletter is a complimentary emailed newsletter. Please share and forward to your friends and colleagues.

Currently, the consortium provides support for Arizona artists as well as fostering free access to the arts for the general public by providing information, hosting cultural, performing arts and arts events. Mic Arts, Letters and Culture Events!

This is a great chance for artists, writers, performers in all genres, spanning all artistic disciplines and cultural representations to get together, meet one another, read, present, share, learn, celebrate and enjoy!  Also, let's address key issues in contemporary art and culture, exchange ideas, learn new things through rigorous talks, conversations, debates and readings in an informal setting at the wonderful Dog-Eared Pages Used Books, 16428 N 32nd Street Suite 111; Phoenix, AZ 85032; (602) 283-5423 When: Every  last Sunday  - 3:00pm -5:00pm.

Thom & Melanie, the owners of Dog-Eared Pages Used Books in Phoenix, Arizona are donating 'Books For Soldiers' to be sent to our troops in Afghanistan & Iraq. What they need is for anyone who has friends or relatives serving in either of these two countries to email the soldiers APO addresses to them so they can send the books to them to be read and shared with their fellow soldiers. They are also collecting donations for postage at the store.

Monthly Open Mic- We had a fabulous open mic on June 24, 2012 at the Dog-Eared Pages Used Books store. Thank you so much Melanie and Thom for always being so hospitable!          A Call to Poets for the Inaugural issue of Unstrung

The Blue Guitar magazine seeks poetry submissions for the inaugural Summer 2012 Issue of Unstrung, a magazine of, for and about poetry. Submissions will be accepted from June 1 through July 6. Poets must submit original work and must have a tie to Arizona. Simultaneous submissions will be accepted, but the poet must notify the magazine as soon as possible if the work is accepted elsewhere. It is free to submit, and multiple poems may be submitted. Please include your name and the best way to contact you on your e-mail submission. Please include in the e-mail subject line: Attn.
