New Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) regulations took effect on May 4, 2012. Many nonprofit employers are highly reliant on CORI information in making employment decisions.
The changes to CORI create an entirely new web-based system for accessing information. The new regulations provide employers with direct access to criminal information but also establish stricter reporting, documentation and procedural requirements and potentially tougher sanctions for violations. To find out what you need to know to be in compliance with the new regulations, read the article, available on the Nonprofit 411 on our website.
