Thanks to your support, KAGE has enjoyed over a decade of creating original live performance that has enriched and enlivened audiences.
Our latest work is one in which we have been dreaming about since 2009 and is inspired by Australia’s visionary artist, poet and philosopher, Michael Leunig. Entitled Look Right Through Me, this world premiere presentation will take place at the Malthouse Theatre in September 2011.
KAGE is thrilled to offer you the opportunity to come behind the scenes with us and Michael Leunig in the development of this major new work.
To date we have been successful in securing 90% of the project budget which includes the creative development and world premiere in September. We are now looking to raise the final $10,000.
KAGE has engaged a talented cast and creative team who use astonishing physicality and visual imagery to tell the story of a troubled young man looking for his lost innocence.
In this stunning production, Look Right Through Me dances the delicate line between brittle whimsy and soul searching angst, maintaining a lightness of touch while nudging at Leunig’s own irrepressible humanism: a willingness to face the brutal wonder of life without any defence.

We look forward to welcoming you to the world premiere of Look Right Through Me at the Malthouse in September.
In the mean time, please take a look at Michael Leunig and Kate Denborough taking about Look Right Through Me here.
