Spurs Family Fantasy
Thank you for supporting Silver & Black Give Back
Silver & Black Give Back thanks everyone who participated in and supported this season's Spurs Family Fantasy! The attendees learned dribbling and shooting skills alongside San Antonio Spurs players and coaches, toured the practice facility, got ankles taped much like the players do, and at the end of the event received a one day "contract" with the San Antonio Spurs.
Parents got an hour long debrief with General Manager RC Buford, where he walked them through the evaluation and drafting process in the team's film room.
The Spurs Family Fantasy benefitted the Spurs Youth Basketball League, one of Silver & Black Give Back's premiere initiatives.

Team Up Challenge students from George Gervin Academy spend afternoon cooking
Fifth graders at the George Gervin Academy are constructing a community garden on their campus as part of their Team Up Challenge project this season. The group hopes to encourage their campus and community to eat healthier by providing them with free items from their garden.
The group also plans to create a healthy cookbook featuring ingredients from their garden - and so they joined San Antonio Spurs forward Boris Diaw at the Central Market cooking school to learn how to make fruit and vegetable crepes. Students learned how to flip crepes with Diaw, and then got to taste their creations.
The Gervin Academy students plan to feature the recipes in their cookbook!

Jr. Rampage Clinic
Rampage players teach hockey skills and drills
With the start of the San Antonio Ramapge season comes the start of the Jr. Rampage. This year's Jr. Rampage teams have had hte opportunity to learn from the best as Rampage player and coaches attend several practices.
Rampage players not only teach the skills needed to be successful on the ice, but they also instill the importance of good sportsmanship and physical fitness.
