Dear Springdale parents, teachers, administrators and students,
Happy first week of school!
There are a lot of do-not-miss events on the calendar this week:
Calendar for week of September 7
Thursday, September 8: 9:00 am - Book fair opens (media center)
7:00 pm – PTO General Meeting (media center)
Saturday, September 10: 1:00pm – Back to school social (school playground)
Springdale Book Fair volunteers needed
Help is needed to set-up today, Wednesday, Sept. 7th and on the other days. If you can give us an hour or more please contact Dorie Poulos at 203-355-9672.
The book fair will run through Friday Sept. 16th (every day 9am-12pm and 1-4pm except for Sept. 16th when it closes at noon, there will be additional hours from 9am-6pm on open school night). The organizers will be working in the media center all day Wednesday starting at 9am.
The theme is “Reading is Out of this World... To the Book Fair and Beyond,” so any toys, items that relate to space travel, aliens, etc., that you can lend us are great! They can be placed in the PTO closet downstairs (please ask in the office if you’re not sure where) or dropped directly to us in the media center on Wednesday, Sept. 7.
