Greetings from cool and foggy San Francisco.
It's been an exciting few months, and below is a quick summary of some things that are in the works (scroll down below the double lines for detailed information):
• Untapped Cities international blog
The new SF portal for this great culture website includes my first picture and word posting (with sound by my husband Jeff Jacoby)
• CreativePro "how to"
A new series of how-to articles on digital art
• Juried show
Four of my collages are included in the first juried SIGGRAPH Digital Art online exhibit
• Guest Presenter for Adobe online event
September 23rd I'll be guest presenter for an online Adobe event (demonstrating Illustrator brushes)
• Fall Artspan Open Studios
The weekend of October 1-2, 1pm-6pm
• Facebook page, and Twitter
Everyone (even Facebook non-members) can see the SharonSteuer page, but if you are a member please "Like," and if you tweet please follow
Untapped Cities
You can now see and hear the first San Francisco collaboration between Jeff Jacoby (my audio-centric husband) and me on the newly-launched San Francisco portal for Untapped Cities, the up-and-coming culture blog. The SF portal went LIVE August 25th!
CreativePro "how to"
You can see the first few in a continuing series of articles on CreativePro. We'll be alternating between original content and excerpts from my book, The Adobe Illustrator CS5 WOW! Book. The first original article includes details on how I created an earlier version of the the lead image in the first Untapped Cities article.
Fall Artspan Open Studios
The weekend of October 1 & 2, from 1pm to 6pm both days (or by appointment), I will be in my studio (14a) at Workspace Limited (2150 Folsom Street) for Fall Artspan Open Studios (organized by Artspan and also promoted by Mission Artist United). In addition, at least one of my works will also be included in a show in the main gallery at Workspace, juried by Mina Dresden of the contemporary Mina Dresden Gallery.
Facebook and Twitter
My guess is that if you're getting this email you're either shocked that it's taken me so long to get a Facebook page, or you can't believe that I (too) am doing this. It turns out that indeed Facebook is an easy way to post updates so everyone can keep up-to-date with what's going on. If you are Facebook phobic or averse, you do NOT have to be a member to see what's posted to the SharonSteuer page. If you are a member, please "Like" the page, and if you tweet please follow.
Thank you so much for tuning in!
Sincerely,
Sharon Steuer
