Help Happens Here

This campaign was started with the sole purpose of creating awareness and providing help to those who are struggling and are in need of mental health and wellness services. The campaign is a community effort by a large group of people from different organizations who are committed to improving the lives of the people in the community of Charlottesville. The Help Happens Here campaign does referrals and connects people to the different services available to them; which in many cases can be free of charge or at a low cost. If you wish to learn more visit their website: www.helphappenshere.org or call at (434) 247-0641.

New Hope for DREAMers

Under the Bipartisan Senate Bill as many as 1.5 million people who were brought to the U.S. as children could be on the road to acquiring a legal status, all thanks to a new bill that has been presented to the House. If this bill was to be enacted DACA recipients and DREAMers could finally apply for a green card that would allow them to gain documents. To learn more follow this link

Signing a Humanitarian Petition

The boarder patrol in Arizona raided a camp called No More Deaths that aides immigrants and refugees who cross the boarder on what is a typical 105 degree weather. Now, the organization is asking for your help and requests for people to sign their petition to ask the governmental agencies to stop the raid on humanitarian camps that provide help to immigrants and refugees in need of medical help, food and water; which are basic human rights. If you would like to sign this petition or would like to learn more about it, click here
