Obama Slays 'The Donald'
Barack Obama once again shows us how to give a Vote of Thanks whilst illustrating how you can fillet a political opponent, albeit a preposterous one… Donald Trump, in case you are wondering.
This and last year’s after-dinner remarks to the Washington Press Corps are important, since they show Obama’s human qualities, not least that he can laugh at himself.
Have a look at a similar piece of oratory by Churchill and JFK’s address in Berlin as both have some humour in there. And Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address is also worth a look for it’s brevity.
There are a few other features mentioned to the right, but I’d like to draw particular attention to Let It Be, a recent feature of Trainer Talk, where I imagine throwing a Mick Hucknell lookalike off a bridge in London…
