This is an exciting time at Gospel Outbound. As you know, our vision has been clear: Send thousands of Ugandan Missionaries to reach millions of unsaved Muslims in North Africa and beyond.
Now, after four determined years of foundational work, we are about to take our first missionary steps north. The Lord has blessed us with five pastors and their families who have stepped forward in faith, requesting to be the very first to be sent out as missionaries. All have applied, confirming their commitment in writing, and we are currently in the midst of the selection process. Three are pictured here, but names are withheld for their security.
Let’s look at two of them briefly. The first pastor and his wife are self-supporting (something critical in our efforts, as our missionaries will need a viable trade as
they set-up residence on the front line). The wife is a tailor….a skill which is in great demand in the mission field they may work in. The intent here is to provide practical training along with the spiritual and missions training, ultimately sending more and more self-sustaining missionaries to the unreached non-Christians.
The next pastor and his wife (lower left) became Christians after God sent someone who had a prophetic revelation to evangelize this pastor. Day after day, week after week, this follower of Christ shared with him. After hearing the gospel message, this pastor claims he had no peace, even in his sleep. That is, until he accepted Christ. He is now chaiman of the local pastors’ fellowship and came to know Emmy (GO Uganda Director) through one of our UMMA (Uganda Missions Movement Assocication) pastors.

In the picture below, UMMA leaders meet in the new office headquarters of Gospel Outbound Uganda. In only months, Uganda Missions Movement Association has grown from 20 to 411 members! 285 of them are pastors. At this meeting, they were discussing the kick-off conference in November, where they expect 600 attendees and how they will contribute to missions sending. Following the conference, they intend to sponsor a national Missions Fundraising Day in December in Kampala.

Congratulations to the 54 students who are now graduates of a 3-week Portable Bible School and 2-week Missions Training Conference of Congolese Christians in Uganda. It is easy to see in the pictures, not only their determination, but the joy they possess in following their call to spread the word of God in Uganda and beyond. We are proud of them!
