     The scourge of HIV/AIDS in Uganda devastated Ruth Nakamate when her husband was taken and left her with two children. After much trial she finally accessed a loan of $40 from Kabowa Church’s women’s Savings and Loan Project and bought a bicycle taxi. Now she owns three bicycle taxis providing enough income to raise her family, pay her rent, and give to the church.  

     She believes God now for a motorcycle taxi so she can become a more ardent supporter of the Gospel.

     The need is great with families typically making less than $2/day and the women even having trouble saving $.50/week. Gospel Outbound is helping through low interest loans and the women are succeeding and faithfully paying back. Poor families are lifted up and resources are flowing into the work of the Kingdom.

     Pastor Joseph, leading a small Pentacostal church in Kampala Uganda for the last ten years, has a zeal for preaching the gospel in the streets and door to door. The problem he says; “I have always been sharing with people who have heard the Gospel already. I thought at the most, God wanted me to turn around people in my past village and district within my country only.           

     However, Gospel Outbound has opened my eyes to a picture of missions far beyond what l thought initially. Their training has changed my life and heart totally. Without Gospel Outbound I wouldn’t have involved myself in missions.”

     Pastor Joseph went on to say; “Now as I talk, for the last 3 weeks, my message has been on missions mobilization, sending, and supporting missionaries from within the church l pastor. l personally and the church have agreed to start supporting the missions movement, even in our poverty, for the sake of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. God has called us to take it to the unreached people on earth.”

     Gospel Outbound continues its three week Portable Bible Schools with a concentration on missions to the unreached nations of the world. Our graduating class this month was packed with a high percentage of pastors.

     Most of these gifted pastors have had no formal training. Even a graduation from this modest, but critical training, is a momentous occasion and one to be celebrated.

• Brian, our President, is training in partnership development. Pray for God's devine empowerment as he leads G.O. and connects people to ministry.
• Our new Uganda office opens next week. Pray God's blessings on this headquarters and training resource for the propagation of missions.
• Numbers of pastors from our training are talking about forming a missions association called UMMA (Uganda Missions Movement Assoc.).  Pray this would come together and be a mighty force empowering thousands of churches in working toward completing our Great Commission.
