Since I’m sending this to everyone in my email memory, some of you may or may not know I wrote a memoir called This Life Is in Your Hands
published in April.
Amazingly, the book has received great reviews by Janet Maslin in the New York Times
, the New York Times Book Review
, People Magazine
, NPR, and Marie Claire
, and was excerpted in O, the Oprah Magazine
. It also hit the New York Times
and Indie bestseller lists and is on the Indie Next List
for May, which means it’s featured in independent bookstores across the country this month. For all of this, and for all the readers out there, I’m incredibly grateful. Thank you.
Traveling around to read from the book, I'm enjoying the chance to visit so many great bookstores. Each has its unique charm and friendly people, and each has felt like home. In appreciation for these wonderful places, I'm encouraging everyone I know to stop by your local book shop. Ask about staff favorites, check out the Indie Next selections, and flip through some books the good old-fashioned way—with your hands. There’s joy, peace, and community to be found in this simple pilgrimage.
