A Little Fun for a Serious and Seriously Busy Month

Kids are messy, especially when welcome back to school stomach viruses start floating around. Parents, teachers, and other professionals working with kids all have epic mess stories. Send in your kid-created mess story for a chance to win our first prize, a Clean-It-Up Bucket containing many exciting and useful products for dealing with your next mess, such as designer bleach and extra fancy rubber gloves! Our board of directors, experienced mess cleaners all, will decide on the hugest most awfmom cleaning upul mess, and the first prize mess will be announced and awarded at the Flapjack Fundraiser on October 20. You do not need to be present to win, but if you win we will probably talk about you anyway, so you should go. We will also be printing the top 3 in the October newsletter. Extra points will be awarded for pictures, and either photos of the actual mess or artist’s renderings will be accepted. Deadline for submission is midnight, October 19. You can submit your mess story by simply replying to this email, or drop a note off to any of our board members or Parent Guides. Can’t wait to read ‘em!

Great Coffee for a Great Cause

The Good Java CompanyThe Good Java Company in Lancaster, PA sells USDA Certified Organic Fair Trade Coffee.  It is a great product, and one you can feel good about.  


Delaware Families for Hands & Voices will receive $0.50 per 8 ounce bag our friends purchase.  In order for us to receive the donation, you must enter “Hands and Voices” in the sales code box at checkout.

Our next chapter meeting will be October 30 at 6PM at TLK Academy in Peoples Plaza, Glasgow.  Child care can be provided on request.  We have the complete meeting schedule for 2012 on our website. 
Classes will be held Saturday mornings from 9am-12pm
