February 2012 |
The CONNECTION |
Greetings from Pastor Scott and Phyllis Webb
This is a great year and we are off and running.
This will be a year of fulfillment. Things that we have desired, sown for, preached to, and expected to see will come to pass. Genesis 26:12-13 says, "Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold, and the Lord blessed him. And the man became great and went forward and became very great." We see a progression here: He sowed, he received, he was blessed, and he went forward. The outcome of those things was greatness.
We can do the same things and get the same results. Sow, receive God's blessing, go forward and become great. Sometimes there are steps forward that we must take to be in the place for the increase and greatness the blessing produces. I believe the place to be is in church - planted, serving, hearing the Word of God and then doing it. Church services are a time when God speaks through His man with an unction and anointing to bring forth favor and increase; to give you wisdom and direction; and the best place to sow. All of these things are important if you want to go forward and get to the place of greatness.
This will be a year of Divine health, Divine wealth, and Divine life for those who are whole-hearted in their commitment to God and His Word. Whole-heartedly sow, bless, and go forward. Be in church whenever there is a service. Be connected and involved in what God is doing. Things are moving and changing and together, we are going forward! |

Food Network
The Food Network Ministry at Word of Life has two branches - Good Samaritans and Hospitality. The Good Samaritans prepare a meal for active church members in the event of the death of an immediate family member (immediate is defined as the spouse, parent, or child of an active member). The meal is usually prepared to serve the family at the home of the church member following the funeral.
The Hospitality Ministry is called on for special events or guest ministry events here at the church. Volunteers help with event set-up, food preparation, serving, and clean-up. If you would like to be part of either of these ministries, your help is welcomed. Please complete a volunteer form at the Information Center and someone will contact you.
