Alternate Routes to use during Hwy 330 Road Repairs major road repairs scheduled to have hwy 330 closed from Highland to Running Springs until October 2011 Alternate routes from Los Angeles during the Hwy 330 closure will only add 15-20 minutes to the trip. From the 210 take Waterman Offramp North to the 18. Stay on the 18 past Crestline to Rim Forest and on to Running Springs and your back on track for Big Bear Lake!
 From San Diego you can stay on the 215 and then follow directions above or even better is to take the 10 East to Redlands and then the Orange St off ramp. Take Orange St N. to Lugonia St, take a right and head East.(Hwy 38) Follow signs to Big Bear Lake through Mentone, Mountain Home and Angeles Oaks over Onyx Summit in into the Bear Valley from the East. This is the preferred route of gentlemen and ladies alike! If you haven't taken this route before, it may become the only way to go for your family, as it has for mine.
