International Mr Leather (IML)

IML celebrated its 33rd anniversary in Chicago, IL this year over Memorial Day Weekend. The history of this event is a deep and rich one, starting with 400 leathermen gathering together in 1979, to today where thousands of members of the diverse leather community come together to celebrate tradition.

The Leather Alliance is so proud that Mr San Francisco Leather, Darren Bondy, placed 8th among the over 50 men who competed.

Attendees of IML participated in the Bootblack Party, where they got their boots shined to perfection while indulging in chocolate cake. The Black and Blue Ball was definitely high on the list for those who wanted an evening of play.

Congratulations to the winner of IML 2011, Mr. Leather Europe 2010 Eric Guttierez. Congratulations, also, to International Mr Bootblack 2011 Jim Deuder.

Northwest Leather Celebration (NWLC)

This May, the Fourth annual NWLC was held in San Jose, CA. Over 350 members of the leather community gathered together for a weekend of amazing workshops and attended the Northwest Master and slave Contest. Other highlights of the weekend included a meet and greet hosted by the San Francisco girls of Leather, a Champagne and Chocolate Social which was hosted by the Exiles, and an evening of play.

Congratulations to Daniel Basse (Busdriver) and slave Pink of San Francisco, CA for winning the title.

San Francisco Pride, June 26, 2011

San Francisco's 41st annual Pride Parade and Celebration will take place on June 26th, 2011. The theme for this year’s Pride is “In Pride We Trust”. There will be a dozen community-run stages venues, and over 200 parade contingents and over 300 exhibitors.

Leather Alley at Pride

One of the highlights for the leather community during Pride is Leather Alley, which is a project of the Leather Alliance! Leather Alley is located on Hyde Street between Golden Gate and McAllister and runs from 11am to 6:30pm.

Leather Alley is committed to fostering support and fellowship for those who are curious about leather, BDSM, kink, and fetish in a safe environment, promising something for everyone.
