Leather Alliance Community Awards Dinner Leather Alliance Weekend was held March 3rd through March 6th featuring the 45th Annual Leather Community Awards Dinner on March 4th and the Mr San Francisco Leather contest on March 5th. Mr San Francisco Leather Leather Leadership Conference 2011 was held in LA. Guy Baldwin gave the opening keynote, which none of the attendees will soon forget. It was a call to arms for change in the Leather Community in regards to leadership and fundraising. Despite garnering some negative critisism, Balwin's keynote certainly was certainly successful in spurning discourse.You can see it, in its entirety, on Leatherati.com. Keynote speeches were also given by Annie Romano and Tyler McCormick (IML 2010).
Tracy Wolf made the Bay Area proud by coming in First Runner Up for IMsL. Gayle Rubin gave a particulary wonderful keynote at the Sunday Brunch that devlved deep into the history of Women's Leather. Many past IMsL alumni were in attendance, bringing a living sense of history to the event. Very big congratulations to Glenda, tomo, and Ms. Rhonda for a spectacular event.

Community The Eagle Tavern Its still up in the air regarding the recent issues with the Eagle Tavern. As of now, the original offer by Skylar bar has been rescinded giving the Eagle Tavern another month to keep the doors open. There was some talk regarding Mark Frazier (owner of the Dallas Eagle) purchasing the 30 year old and historic business, however due to lack of communication and outrageous offers from the current owner, the offers have stopped and Frazier had to back out.
