Check out this year's Concert with Conversation series at CMC!

Phan-Nicholas-lrIn a partnership with San Francisco Performances that has thrived since the 1980’s, Community Music Center is proud to co-present Concerts with Conversation. Each year, CMC is thrilled to host world renowned artists for an intimate and informal one-hour recital. The artists are drawn from among the headliners on the prestigious San Francisco Performances series and appear thanks to their generosity. Each Concert with Conversation begins at 6:00pm in the CMC Concert Hall at 544 Capp Street.

Meet new CMC board member David Swartz

David SwartzCMC Board member David Swartz grew up surrounded by music, thanks to his father, who was a leading promoter of big band jazz music in Sarasota, Florida. As a child, David not only heard concerts by Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Buddy Rich and Stan Kenton, he also had a chance to meet the legendary bandleaders and talk with them about music. Read article.

CMC Gift Certificates are here for the holidays!

piano lessonCMC gift certificates come in any amount and make for one amazing gift! Ask a registrar at either branch in person, via email or phone to purchase your gift certificates. Happy Holidays!!!!

Fine print: Students need to register for the quarter (or the number of lessons remaining in the quarter). If the certificate partially covers the cost of lessons, the student will pay the remaining balance.
