CMC will bring an instrument petting zoo to our neighborhood block party
this Saturday! We'll have instruments to try and performances by faculty, too. Come visit us at the corner of 20th and Alabama Streets.
Latin jazz performances: with CMC faculty members Patrick Morehead on piano and Pepe Jacobo on drums with guest bassist Sam Bevan
Instrument petting zoo: try out the flute, guitar, violin, viola, cello, keyboard, bass, drums and latin percussion!
Saturday, August 23 from noon-6:00pm

CMC and John Calloway Receive Creative Work Fund Grant for Performing Arts
CMC is a proud recipient of a Creative Work Fund grant
to commission composer, educator and musician John Calloway to create a musical and social reflection on San Francisco's Mission District. The journey will take audiences from the early 1960s to the present day. The CMC community will be involved in the production along with an outstanding group of local artists to be announced soon.
The mission of Community Music Center to to make high quality music accessible to all people, regardless of financial status.
