Meet SCI's 2012 Volunteer of the Year
As those of you intimately connected with SCI know 2012 was a challenging year. Volunteers--you!--saved the day. Many of you who stepped in last spring--and some of you are still regular helpers at the SCI office--played an important role in SCI's resurrection. Selecting one outstanding volunteer to honor was difficult. Many of you will recognize the unique contribution of Kirstie Wilson. She volunteered approximately 230 hours' time in the spring and summer, successfully getting SCI's office stabilized. SCI happily anticipates honoring Kirstie at Shine On 2013.

SCI Volunteers are the first to know...
The season is accelerating. We sent CooKits and WAPI's to Virginia Marylanders for Progress, an NGO doing great works in Liberia. Also, SunCatcher Projects recently closed its doors and donated the remainder of its donations to SCI, which had been its founding inspiration. Thank you, SunCatcher Projects!
Thanks to our February Volunteers
In February, volunteers donated 139.25 hours
to the daily operations of SCI! Volunteers are truly the heartbeat of our organization. If you'd like to help, email firstname.lastname@example.org
