Thank you for your partnership with Hungry4HIM. You are contributing to a movement in Ahero, Kenya where children are being loved, taught and empowered to change their world! Through your prayer and financial generosity we, together, are creating a brighter future for these wonderful kids.
There is so much opportunity in our partnership with Benard's Vision School. I would encourage you to take a step after you read. Perhaps the step that is most natural is to pray for these issues -- please do that immediately. It should only take a few moments. Or maybe you will want to join us financially as we strive to meet the needs of our friends in Kenya. Either way, we covet your contribution.

Drought In Kenya
The good news is that the drought conditions in western Kenya have eased up. The bad news, however, is that although the rains have come there are no crops to water. According to Pastor Benard planting happens in March & April and then again in August & September, but because the drought was so bad in the early summer all the crops died. Now, because the drought made it impossible to plant in the late summer, there are no crops to be harvested in the months ahead.
These conditions have made food shortages common, which has driven the cost of food up. Please pray with us that God will continue to provide for the basic needs of our Kenyan friends, and that there would be enough food to go around.
Expansion at Benard's Vision School (BVS) Pastor Benard is dreaming God-sized dreams about expanding in Ahero. He is trying to acquire a tract of land adjacent to the current property. There is a brief window of opportunity for this purchase, and there are other interested parties. The seller has guaranteed the land for BVS until the end of the year, and has offered a lower selling price because of Pastor Benard's relationship. He needs $17,000 to be able to purchase the land. Please pray that this money can be raised before Christmas!
Celebrating Headmaster Benard
There is an incredible and gifted servant at BVS name Benard--not Pastor Benard; but the Headmaster of the school (also named Benard). If you were to visit the school you might not meet Benard, but you would see his influence everywhere.
Headmaster Benard has elevated the educational standards that are shaping our students; he has trained the faculty that pour their knowledge and love into these kids; and he has done this because he believes in the mission that Pastor Benard has established.
Our prayer is that we would be able to offer Headmaster Benard a comparable salary for the work he does at BVS. He is definitely worth it. With a growing family, his need is greater now than it ever has been, and we want to provide for him as he has given so much for the children we love. Would you join us as we pray for God to provide for Benard and our faculty?
