Work begins on new MMPEI home
 Renovation and expansion work has begun on the Michigan Memorial Phoenix Laboratory, the North Campus facility that will provide collaborative lab space and serve as the new home for the Energy Institute.
Institute appoints transportation expert
 MMPEI announces the appointment of John DeCicco, right, as a research professor. A specialist in vehicle and fuel technologies, petroleum demand, and greenhouse gas emissions, he also holds an appointment as a professor of practice in the U-M School of Natural Resources and Environment.
U-M solar car cruises Down Under
