Veterans Legal Services has much to be grateful for in our lives. During this time of holiday reflection, we wanted to share with you what the VLS team is thankful for:
Anna Richardson, Co-Executive Director and Chief Counsel
I am thankful that through the generosity of others I get to do a job I love in an amazing community that values service and respects the human dignity of all people.
Sarah Roxburgh, Co-Executive Director and Chief of Operations
I am thankful for the VLS Board of Directors and staff. They are my colleagues, friends, and biggest cheerleaders. I am so grateful to have a job where I can help improve the lives of veterans and work alongside some of the highest quality people I have met.
Eve Elliott, Senior Staff Attorney
I am thankful that I have a home of my own, loving friends and family to celebrate the holidays with, a delicious thanksgiving meal, and a furry friend to snuggle with, especially when so many veterans do not have those things this time of year.
Lynn Girton, Pro Bono Director
I am thankful for the opportunity to work with and for veterans from whom I have learned so much. I am particularly grateful for my co-workers and all of the many friends of VLS whose commitment to our work is both inspirational and endless.
Hannah Taylor, Paralegal & Office Manager
I have an amazing family and group of friends that will support me through anything, and, for that, I am immeasurably thankful.
Jessica Youngberg, Skadden Fellow & Staff Attorney
I am thankful to have a stable network of family and friends, whose support has enabled me to pursue educational, career, and quality-of-life opportunities that otherwise would have proved impossible.
VLS owes a debt of gratitude to the veterans it serves for their sacrifice in service to our country. We consider it an honor and a privilege to advocate for them each day which is our way of thanking them for their service. VLS is also beyond thankful for you because your support enables us to continue our work on behalf of greater Boston’s veterans. Thank you so much.
Our warmest wishes to you and your families for a very happy Thanksgiving,
Anna S. Richardson & Sarah E. Roxburgh
