VOLUNTEER/CONTRIBUTE

Student Assistance Fund Needs Your Books and Calculators. The Student Assistance Fund can always use donations of any books in good condition and used TI 83 calculators (any version).  Clean out your bookshelves!  We are in particular need of the following books for 2nd semester: Barron's AP Psych Review Guide; Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao; Cane River; In the Time of Butterflies; Much Ado about Nothing.  Donations can be left in Room 130 at any time.  Questions contact Ellen Reath, magreath@ecentral.com or call 720-423-8313.

East Angels Friends and Alumni Foundation (EAFAF) Needs an Accountant.  EAFAF is looking for a parent with Accounting experience to offer their services to EAFAF to do a Review and/or audit of their financials.  Please contact Elisa Moran.

East Arts Showcase. Volunteers are needed to help with an inaugural event to showcase visual arts, music and drama at East.  We are forming a committee to develop the event and need your help!  Please email eastangelsptsa@gmail.com if you are interested in helping develop this community event to showcase East’s fantastic arts departments.

East Teacher Appreciation Committee.  The East Teacher Appreciation Committee (ETAC) provides food and treats to our East teachers and staff at various times throughout the school year.  ETAC is looking to extend our list of families who would like to help provide these goodies.  Please send your name and email address to eclmmwoody@aol.com and we will add you to our list. We will notify you when there is a request.  This is a great way to volunteer and the teachers love this special attention.

Buy Your King Soopers Card To Benefit East.  East High’s Foundation (EAFAF) is selling King Soopers cards for $50.   The card is re-loadable (just like a Starbuck’s card).  The Foundation gets 5% every time you reload.  EAFAF funds many things on campus including buying bus passes for the kids that need them, paying AP fees, buying AP books for kids that can't afford them and paying sports fees for needy kids (in addition to numerous other activities that benefit students, alumni and faculty).  You can help us raise more money simply by shopping at King Soopers with your re-loadable card.  For details on how to get your card, click HERE.

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities.  PTSA can’t be successful without its volunteers.  We have many opportunities to become involved, a little, or a lot, at East.  Please visit Volunteer Spotand sign up today!

Schools may attend range from the Community College of Denver to Emily Griffith Technical College. The deadline for initial paperwork is November 16th. See Ms. Brooks in 226A with questions or feel free to call at 720-423-8378 or email Candace_brooks@dpsk12.org.
