project
New documentary film poised to become boldest voice of
health-consciousness movement in hip hop
October 28th–Seattle, Wash. Pursuit
of a Green Planet is more than just a film project. Producer, Keith Tucker, is
a living experiment, as he makes the radical transition from your average
American diet and lifestyle to one that is truly vegan, organic, and green.
As part of his 30 day film crowd-funding campaign, Keith Tucker teams
up with Hip Hop Activist & Artist AshEl Eldridge aka Seasunz to promote
health and sustainability through AshEl’s Green Album “Earth Amplified” and
through the 30 fundraising campaign for the new film project Pursuit of a Green
Planet.
World Vegan Tweetup Potlucks November 5th Pursuit of a Green Planet along with many Health and Wellness experts, Hip Hop Artists and Best- Selling Authors are hosting the World Vegan Potluck Tweetups on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 3 PM.
Invite your friends, family and youth to bring a vegan brown bag or vegan potluck item to gather at your home, the park or wherever for casual get together.
This Tweetups will rally support around the film project’s 30 day Indiegogo campaign and will bring people together for this new health movement.
Connect on Twitter and Facebook to chat with celebrities, hip hop stars, artists, community leaders, environmental activists and health experts using the hashtag #HipHopisGreen.

Planetary sustainability in all areas does not look to good as global warming, over exploited natural resources, deforestation, wasted land, water and air pollution, place our planet under siege . At the same time our very bodies are being attacked. The rates of youth cancer, heart attack and diabetes are up in every state around the country.
For the first time in history, younger generations will not outlive their parents These issues are inextricably tied to environmental issues. The same corporate food system that presents such a danger to our global ecosystem also produces food that is detrimental to our “internal ecosystems”.
Most people know that we need to make critical changes to the way we live in order to preserve the future for humans on Earth and we need to get our message to young people and their families now more than ever.
The Strategy
Pursuit of a Green Planet film is a project that’s geared toward finding solutions to these important issues. We are merging the power of the media with the power of grassroots activism. We can reach youth because we speak their language and that language comes in the form of Hip Hop culture. Millions of Youth all over the World relate to Hip Hop culture in one element or another. It is the largest uniting youth force on the planet and we are bringing the message of health and environmental responsibility into the culture of Hip Hop, successfully merging the two for the first time. Seminal Green Hip Hop Album

Earth Amplified, the new full-length release from Seasunz + J.Bless, is a seminal Green Hip Hop album features lyrics that touch on many of the environmental and socio-political issues of the day, highlighted by Oakland-based front man Seasunz, who uses his virtuoso vocals to move effortlessly between melodic narratives, hardcore rap, double-time flow, reggae, and blues styles. Produced by Brooklyn-based J.Bless and multi-instrumentalist Golden Horns, the organic sound of Earth Amplified’s heavy, layered beats blend influences ranging from afrobeat, dancehall, funk and old school soul with the jazz vibes of Golden Era Hip Hop.

(POAGP) is the first
documentary film project about Hip Hop, health and the green movement. The film
takes a critical look at the connections between food, culture, economics and
the epidemic of obesity related disease plaguing America’s youth. Keith is a
regular guy who will become a living experiment as he makes the radical
transition from your average American diet and lifestyle to a truly green,
organic vegan lifestyle. Starting with a full medical profile of his current health
condition, he will work with a team of the best medical and health
professionals at every stage of the process as he cleanses his body, transitions
to a vegan diet, and conditions his body to operate at peak performance. The film
will document the biological, physical, psychological and emotional transitions
of the process. Can he make it?
